As a mom of 3 and grandmother to 9, I've been in the parenting trenches myself, so I know what it's like. As a school counselor, licensed clinical counselor and play therapist,I've helped 100's of parents and children with a variety of backgrounds and concerns. My degrees are the Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas as well as an Ed.S. in Counselor Education and Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi. I have worked counseling with families and children since 2014 in private practice, community mental health and school settings. I find it rewarding and stimulating to continue to learn about how the brain affects relationships and development. I enjoy collaborating and learning from the many brilliant clinicians who are making great progress on understanding more about the best ways to work with and parent children.

I help people find the safety and connection with themselves and with their children to make sustainable changes. My therapy style is influenced by many leading experts in the field of child behavior and therapy. I use many exciting, evidence and practice informed treatment models such as the TraumaPlay and SOOTHE strategies of Paris Goodyear-Brown, the Empowering, Connecting and Correcting Principals of Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI-Karyn Purvis), the attachment theory of Circle of Security Project, and attachment focused games of the Theraplay Model, Dr. Bruce Perry’s integration of trauma-informed practices with neuroscience, Dan Seigel's interpersonal neurobiology, Robin Goebbel's Raising Kids with Big Baffling Behaviors, Violet Oaklander's, Windows to our Children, and Dr. Betsy Bailey’s trauma informed social learning and behavior management program, Conscious Discipline,
